羅馬書第一章
8 第一，我靠著耶穌基督，為你們眾人感謝我的神，因你們的信德傳遍了天下。
9 我在他兒子福音上，用心靈所事奉的神，可以見證我怎樣不住的提到你們；
10 在禱告之間常常懇求，或者照神的旨意，終能得平坦的道路往你們那裡去。
11 因為我切切的想見你們，要把些屬靈的恩賜分給你們，使你們可以堅固。
12 這樣，我在你們中間，因你與我彼此的信心，就可以同得安慰。
13 弟兄們，我不願意你們不知道，我屢次定意往你們那裡去，要在你們中間得些果子，如同在其餘的外邦人中一樣；只是到如今仍有阻隔。
14 無論是希利尼人、化外人、聰明人、愚拙人，我都欠他們的債，
15 所以情願盡我的力量，將福音也傳給你們在羅馬的人。
16 我不以福音為恥；這福音本是神的大能，要救一切相信的，先是猶太人，後是希利尼人。
17 因為神的義正在這福音上顯明出來；這義是本於信，以致於信。如經上所記：義人必因信得生。
Romans 1
8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; with: or, in
10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. with: or, in
13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles. among: or, in
14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
